What HydraSolver does

Build a tree, solve it, read the strategy and train it. Hold’em, Short Deck, PLO4/PLO5/PLO6, Omaha Hi-Lo and tournaments — one app, running on your own machine.

Build

Set up any spot in a minute.

  • Tree Wizard Pick the game, seats, stacks and bet sizes and the wizard builds the tree. Change any of it later.
  • Import ranges Paste or drop ranges from PPT, Pio, GTO+, CSV or plain text, or type them (top10%, $ds).
  • Lock a player’s strategy Right-click a spot in the tree and lock how a seat plays there. The solver solves around it — useful for studying a specific opponent.
  • Solve postflop from a preflop solve Open a preflop solve, browse to any flop situation and click New postflop sim. Ranges are imported automatically — nothing to export or copy/paste.
  • Checks the tree before you solve See the RAM a tree needs before you press Start, and pick Standard or High detail to fit your machine. Missing calls, broken stacks and unreachable spots are flagged with a one-click fix.

Solve

Start, pause, resume — on your terms.

  • Pause, resume, stop Pause and pick it up later, or stop and keep what you have. Save as .hdr and carry on another day.
  • Live metrics and auto-stop Exploitability, convergence, volatility and each seat’s EV sit across the top of the Solve screen. Auto-stop when one hits your goal, or after a set time, so every board in a batch is consistent — useful for aggregate reports.
  • Batch sims Run one spot across 10, 25, 100 or all 1,755 flops, or your own list of flops, turns or rivers — on this computer or split across several. Results come back in one aggregate report.
  • Cores and RAM Set maximum CPU threads and RAM, so HydraSolver uses exactly the resources you want it to.

Read

Choose how you read the strategy.

  • List View Every hand with frequency and EV — in Chips, BB, % of Pot or $EV for tournaments. Filter with common syntax ($ds, AA, KK8x), group or expand combos, sort any column.
  • Chart View The standard hand grid for Hold’em — mouse over a hand for its combos. For PLO4/PLO5/PLO6 it breaks the range down by hand class and suitedness. Colour by action mix, EV or weight.
  • Find a line Ctrl+F, type the actions (check check bet) and jump straight to that spot.
  • Bookmarks and notes Bookmark the spots you keep coming back to and leave a note on any of them.
  • Help Center F1 opens a searchable Help Center inside the app, written for the screen you are on.

Train

Deal the spots, get graded by EV.

  • Built-in Trainer Reads .hdr and .hds files (not .hdv — that’s HydraViewer). It deals the common spots you need to train more often — first.
  • Graded by EV Each decision is graded by EV lost, not just right or wrong. Choose Strict or Loose on bet sizes.
  • Redeal misses Redeal the hands you got wrong until they stick. Roll the mix when a spot is a coin flip.
  • Session history Tracks accuracy, current streak and EV lost, with a session history so you can review your mistakes later. Export as TSV.

Games

Every game you play, one solver.

  • Seven games Hold’em, Short Deck (6+), Omaha 4, 5 and 6 Card Hi, and Omaha 4 and 5 Card Hi-Lo (8 or better). Heads Up to 9-max. No-limit, pot-limit or fixed-limit.
  • Bomb pots and double boards Ante everyone in and start on the flop. Two boards, one pot — solved properly, in every game.
  • Stand Up (Nit) Game and Squid Game The side money is priced into the EV, so you see how these games really change your ranges.
  • Antes, straddles and rake Straddles, double straddles and button straddles. Rake presets for online and live games, or set your own. All priced into the solve.

Tournaments

Solve for the payouts, not the chips.

  • ICM and Future Game Switch from Chip EV to ICM and the strategy changes. Future Game looks a few hands ahead, so a double-up is valued at what it is really worth.
  • Bounties Progressive (PKO), fixed (KO) and Mystery Bounties, with the bounty money in every decision.
  • Payout structures Pick a preset, build one from field size and percent paid, or paste your own ladder.
  • Bubble factors and risk premiums For every pair of seats, so you can see who can’t afford to call.

Files

Save or export.

  • Save as .hdr or .hds Save a complete solve as .hdr to resume solving later. Save 1 or 2 streets as .hds (smaller file size but non-resumable) to study or train later.
  • Export An entire street as .hdv to open in HydraViewer , or as TXT files or machine-readable JSON. Ranges as PPT, Pio, CSV, .p4rg or a template you define. Charts as PNG.
  • HDS Shop Buy finished preflop solves in the HDS Shop, ready to open in HydraSolver and build postflop from.
